CD+A worked with the Chief of Negotiations at the City of Oakland’s Community and Economic Development Agency (CEDA) to develop conceptual designs and illustrative sketches of potential development within the Lower Broadway area of the City, between Downtown and the Jack London Square Waterfront area. The illustrations became part of a booklet published by the City to communicate the potential of the area to private development interests. This included exploring concepts for mixed-use buildings along Broadway, reuse of the historic produce market areas for office and loft space, and development of a park over the tunnel to Alameda with fronting condominiums and tech office buildings.
